| Description: | Sineh Pasang, Sineh Maren Lugun and Sineh Tingang sing two sikih songs. These involve a lead singer and a chorus. The first song is called "la'al iek" (lit. little chick). It is about a little chick who is messing around in the chaff when a bad-tempered old lady hits it with a basket and it dies. The second song is called "labo lati'" and it is told from the perspective of a fieldmouse. Again, the fieldmouse is eating some tapioca when a log falls on top and it is squashed. Sikih songs can be thought of as a way of encouraging love for nature and teaching children not to be cruel to animals. The following equipment was used: Zoom H4N, Stereo Mic, wind gag, Canon EOS 60D, Canon EF 28mm f/1.8 USM Lens. The recording is in stereo and wav format. | |
