| Description: | Translation (Rita Seng Mai & Keita Kurabe) I'm going to talk about the story of the banana plant and the wild cherry. Many years ago, a banana plant and a wild cherry grew together. One day, the wild cherry said to the banana plant. "My sister banana plant, when we bear fruits, let our fruits be sour, OK?" But that banana plant had a bad ear. Even though the wild cherry said, "Let our fruits be sour ("hkri"), OK?" the banana plant misheard it as, "Let's die ("si") when we bear fruits." Today, fruits of the wild cherry are sour. Banana plants die after they bear fruit. Because it misheard what the cherry tree said banana plants die when they bear fruit.
