| Description: | Translation (Rita Seng Mai) The title of the story is "A Frog in a Cow's Hoofprint." It was a time when all the animals could communicate with each other. There was a hoofprint where the cows usually stepped. A frog saw that hoofprint and said, "This is a really big lake!" Then she laid her frogspawn there. Later, the eggs hatched into tadpoles. She didn't tell her tadpoles that there were many bigger lakes, so they thought, "There is no lake bigger than this one in the world. This is the biggest lake." One day, a cow stepped on that hoofprint, since it was the path where cows usually passed. The cow didn't notice the tadpoles in the hoofprint, so she just stepped on them. Some of the tadpoles died because of her. Meanwhile, the mother frog was out searching for food for them. When she came back, she saw some of her children crying and others dying while all their organs were out. She was so shocked and asked them, "What happened?!" The children said, "Not long ago, a huge creature walked past here. It stepped on us, so some of our siblings died." She said, "My children, we should have moved to a bigger lake. I should have told you about it. It's all my fault. I made you stay here even though I knew that other large animals usually passed by this place. Because of that, some of my children died. A cow much bigger than me didn't notice that you were here, so she stepped on you. It's all my fault." This is the end of the story.
