| Description: | Translation (Rita Seng Mai) The title is 'The Blue-Throated Barbet's Nest.' A long time ago, there were many species of birds. Some birds made nests on the trees, and some slept in the bushes. However, the blue-throated barbet only looked for a tree trunk, made a hole in it, and stayed inside so that he didn't need to worry about wind or rain. He stayed inside the tree trunk. Therefore, he never knew that the other birds were suffering because of the rain and wind. He always stayed inside the tree trunk. We can easily tell that it is the barbet's nest when we see a hole in a tree. People who know how to search for them can easily catch them. They just put something into the hole and catch the barbets. The barbets never face any natural disasters and live their lives happily. That's why we call people who only care for themselves and don't care about others 'barbets.' Our elders pass down this story to exemplify that kind of person. This is the end of the story.
