Description:Translation (Rita Seng Mai) The story I am going to tell now is about three traders. One day, the three men: the Chinese man, the Burmese man, and the Jinghpaw man, went to trade. They rested on a riverbank on their way. They cooked food there, too. At that time, the sound of the gunshot rang out loudly and unexpectedly. The Burmese man heard the gunshot and said, "This gunshot is really loud. It must have hit an animal for sure." The gunshot sounded like "Theng Kane" to him. The Jinghpaw man heard the gunshot and said, "Right! Just by listening to the sound, it definitely hit an animal." The gunshot sounded like "Dung Shaw" to him. The Chinese man said, "Right! Right!" He heard the gunshot as "Byao Lao" in his ears. For the Burmese man, he heard it as "Theng Kane." For the Jinghpaw man, it sounded like "Dung Shaw." For the Chinese man, it sounded like "Byao Loa!" This is the end of the story. Transcription (Htu Bu) Ya ngai hkai dan na maumwi gaw, "Hpaga La Marai Masum A Maumwi" re.
