| Description: | Translation (Rita Seng Mai) The story I am going to tell you is about a Jinghpaw man and a Jinghpaw woman who were lovers. They usually met on the outskirts of the village, bringing food they had prepared. Once upon a time, there was a couple who fell in love. The woman prepared food and a fermented drink and went to their appointed meeting place on the outskirts of the village. When she arrived, she leaned the food basket against a tree. They usually met there. They pretended to be cows and communicated with each other by saying 'moo, moo.' Before they arrived, an orphan boy was wandering around there. He became hungry, so he climbed a tree and sat at the top. The couple didn't know that the boy was up there. They made cow-like sounds, as they usually did. The boy was watching them from the tree and burst into laughter when he couldn't hold it in any longer. The woman was unaware and made 'moo, moo' sounds. The man said to her, "Why are you still making 'moo'? Look above your head!" Then they ran away. The orphan boy climbed down the tree and ate the food they had placed against it. He was full after eating all the food.
