Description:Long ago, the land was ruled by a man called Ngopa. At present he is an announcer of the village. One day, he requested the god to give him a helper to control the villagers. On his request, the god sent a man in the form of a seed. Later, the seed sprouted to a gourd and spoke like a human; Ngopa was confused to hear the sound as there was nobody around him. In a shocked state he mistakenly cut the gourd and he found the head of a boy. In the wound there settled or came ('vang') worms ('chong'), so together that is called 'chongvang'. The boy had no name so people started calling him 'chongvang'. Later this word became the dignified word for chiefs or kings in Wancho.. Language as given:
