| Description: | In the olden days, the monkey used to have the 'daw' (knife). Man wanted to take it from Monkey, so one day he played a trick. Man said to Monkey: "let’s go somewhere to sit where there is good place", on this monkey agreed. Man decided to sit on the banyan tree. He removed bark of the tree where monkey would be seated and he did not remove bark from where he was to be seated. After spending several hours, sitting on the branch of the banyan tree, man ran away with the daw. Monkey said, "leave the daw, that's mine" and he tried to chase the man, but his buttocks were fixed on the branch of the tree by the sticky gum of the banyan tree. Till today, monkey’s buttocks are without hair due to the sticky gum of the banyan tree. Another version of this story is 4WangjoWangsuManAnimalseparate.. Language as given: | |
