| Description: | The headhunting ritual is performed once for a generation of village chief to attain his adulthood. In this, all the youths of the villagers must go for enemy's headhunting to a nearby village or an enemy village. If they hunted an enemy, the ritual is perform/bestowed in a very grand manner and the men are tattooed. But in present days, headhunting is strictly prohibited by the government of India, so they fake the headhunting practice by chopping a banana stem as an enemy. That way, they can still tattoo their bodies and perform the social activities designated to them, otherwise they are disqualified to perform them.. Language as given: | |
