| Description: | In this recording, Ibiro tells a story about their clan, Kieri evamoro. They explain that their ancestor, Evake, came from Kinomere by paddling, accompanied by four dogs. He spent some time in Veraibari, then moved to Abeoa, and later to Kikori. After seeing the tide go down very quickly, he decided to travel to Veiru Creek, then to Mabu Creek, and afterwards to Ati Creek. He spent two years there, where he built a house. He eventually decided to return, but on the way back he lost his dogs, which ran off chasing pigs at Ati Creek; nonetheless, he continued his journey back to Mabu. | |
