Description: | Length: 00:49:45:520 Both of the speakers talk mainly about their village and former times. They appreciate their village a lot and could not imagine to live in another place. They talk about the time when the ‘ajenos’ (‘strangers’) came, those who did not speak their language and who would force them to speak Spanish and would punish them when they caught them speaking Movima. Both of them tell that before their families were rich, that they lived well with the fieldwork. They still work on the field, growing yuca and bananas among other things. They also talk a lot about their language, the Movima, and a lot about their people, (also called) the Movima. They describe how the language was going to die because a lot of people would move away, they wento over to speak spanish and the children would not learn Movima anymore. To reanimate the language, nowadays it is taught at the school of the village, Santa Ana.
