Both informant and researcher take the roles of organizers of a walking tour for the walking club "Tilburg". The informant has a city map of Tilburg at his disposal, on which a rather complex walking route is plotted. In preparing a club meeting about the planned walking tour, he has to inform his co-organizer (= the TL-researcher) about the course of the route by telephone. The co-organizer has an identical city map at his disposal, on which he has to plot the intended route during the telephone conversation, following and asking for indications as precisely as possible. The informant is instructed in advance by the SL-researcher about the starting place (rail- way station) and finish (park) of the route. During their telephone conversation researcher and informant stay in the same room.
