Description: | Mr. Wisdom and Mr. Wise had long been engaged in a heated argument about who of the two was the wisest. One day Mr. Wisdom suggested they attend the dance of the cattle egret. Mr. Wise readily accepted and when they went Mr. Wisdom fetched some colour paint which he put in his pocket. They arrived at the dancing ground and the cattle egrets came to collect their horses. It was unknown to the cattle egret who collected Mr. Wisdom's horse but he marked it with the colour. Mr. Wise just gave his horse without marking. When the dance was over Mr. Wisdom asked the egret to bring his horse and he denied saying “they are all white; how can you say that I collected your horse?” but Mr. Wisdom pointed at the colour mark and the egret went to bring his horse for him. Mr. Wise approached all the cattle egrets and they all denied. So Mr. Wisdom picked Mr. Wise and they were going home, but half way he told Mr. Wise that he thought of an idea so they should go back to pick up the horse. Mr. Wise was hesitant but upon return he asked for instruments so that they could also sing their land songs. They started again and he sang that their friend the wise one among them dances more than everyone but they don't know who he is and one egret was at the center and danced more than any other person. So they told him to go and bring Mr. Wise's horse and he went and brought it. From that day Mr. Wise agreed that Mr. Wisdom is the wisest. | |
