Description:		Footage of dancing and the Banda mask at a marriage festivity. This session came to be because I offered to organize a Banda mask dance for a wedding festivity at Katoufoura. I was told that Banda had not danced in Katoufoura for more than 20 years and most wedding festivities are done with a PA and a DJ these days. Unfortunately, Banda could not dance at the original wedding festivity because the marriage organizers had run out of gas. In order to still be able to film the Banda group offered to dance and drum at a nearby collection of a bride to be that was supposed to be married in Koukouba. Prior to the marriage a whole group of the family of the groom (including many relatives) goes to pick up the bride. This usually invovlves several nights of festivities at the home of the bride. Banda danced during one of those nights.
