| Description: | This session contains recordings with Antonina Vasil’evna Kazarova made by Natalia Aralova in July 2017 for phonetic research. The recordings were made using the audio recorder Olympus LS-14 with a directional microphone at the house of Antonina Kazaova. These recordings were made on two different days (see the date in the name of the sound files). A phonetic word list of approx. 150 items (usually more, since NA asked for more grammatical forms of some words) is recorded three times, with each word pronounced in isolation and in a carrier phrase bi maːndatʨij ___ gunəm “I say ___ in my language”. | This project focuses on the documentation of Negidal, a highly moribund Northern Tungusic language spoken by at most a handful of individuals on the Amgun’ and Lower Amur rivers in the Russian Federation. The language comprises two dialects, Upper and Lower Negidal, of which the latter might already be extinct. The project will result primarily in an extensive corpus of interlinearized texts from the Upper dialect together with accompanying audio recordings. | ||
| Aleksandra Truba worked as a nurse and doctor's assistant. She spent two years in Ukraine with her Ukrainian husband when her children were small. Her father was an Evenk, so that she uses quite a lot of Evenki words. | ||
