Description:Ts'aggaye Tuntipe performs three lyre songs. File 001 combines a song in the kaa'ooda-rhythm with a song in the baac'a-rhythm, more precisely in the rhythm of the zari baac'a 'lowland sickle'. File 002 contains a song in the woysa ('bamboo flute') rhythm.
Ts'aggaye Tuntipe has a zimbi made from a tortoise shell. His mother is Tamiru Laggase's older sister, i.e. he is Tamiru Laggase's nephew.
Yvonne Treis is a linguist and works on Ethiopian languages at CNRS in France.
