Description: | Lanc'o Lodo perfoms four lyre songs and three mourning songs. File 001 is a autobiographical song in the kaldi baaba-rhythm. File 002 is a mourning song called damma yetts. File 003 is a mourning song called harassa which is played on the day of the alma-ceremony for the dead. File 004 is a mourning song called shoc, which refers to the beer on the third mourning day. For the three lyre songs (file 005, 006 and 007) Lanc'o Lodo is joined by his son Allayo Lanc'o, who plays the lyre for him while Lanc'o sings: the woysa-song (file 005) is called after a type of bamboo flute, file 006 is a kaldi baaba-song and file 007 is a called albazho. | |
