Description:		This bundle contains a preliminary draft of a concise dictionary of the Molkigâl dialect of the Baškardi (Bashkardi) language as spoken in Garu, Minâb sub-province of Hormozgân province, Iran. Glosses and/or definitions are provided in English and Persian. English-Molkigâl Baškardi and Persian-Molkigâl Baškardi finderlists have been programmed and included in the file. There is as yet no significant published material on any dialect of Baškardi. Elicitation for this project took place very briefly in July 2008, both in Garu and in Minâb with speakers of Garu. Research on the dictionary has been resumed recently, after an interruption of five years. This is therefore a work in progress. Uncertainties remain in particular as regards the transcription and the translation of a small number of lexemes. The examples do not entirely cover the occurrences of a given item in the texts.
