Description:		Mr. and Mrs. Ragel celebrate their Silver Jubilee and, after a religious ceremony in church, the community performs the musical traditions associated with Burgher weddings. After cake-cutting and greetings, the first of three groups dance to a sequence of pieces that include the full káfriinha suite. This first group is composed of the couple and their family members. The event took place in the hall of the Sri Lanka Portuguese Burgher Foundation, in Batticaloa.
