Description:		Suleyman tells us about one of his relatives who came acoss a treassure when he was grazing his flock. He took the treasure home, but at night he had a dream and a man in his dream told him to return the treasure. He ignored his dream. However, on the following night he had another dream and the same man told him that he would harm him unless he returned the treasure. Again, he ignored his dream. On the third day, he had a similar dream, this time the man offered him to share the treasure with him if he returned it. He returned the treasure, and he could not access it again. Eventually this man died.
		The Beth Qustan dialect of the Central Neo-Aramaic, Turoyo, which is the language of Tur 'Abdin, South Eastern Turkey, with an estimated 20 families remaining in the village.This project will document socio-cultural practices of the Turoyo speaking community in Tur 'Abdin, focusing on vernacular tales, particularly those that demonstrate cultural interaction between Muslims and Christians, including Muslim visitations to the shrines of Christian saints, and consultation of soothsayers by Christians.

		Suleyman was born in the village of Beth Qustan in 1963 and immegrated to Germany in 1977. He completed his Turkish primary school. Lahdo was born in the village of Beth Qustan in 1971 and immegrated to Germany in 1992. He studied Turkish Primary school to grade 5.
