| This project consists in the documentation of Eibela, also called Aimele (ISO-639 AIL), as part of a PhD project at James Cook University which will ultimately result in a grammar of the language along with a dictionary and a corpus of texts. Eibela is a severely endangered language with 300 speakers in Lake Campbell, Western Province in Papua New Guinea. | ||
| The complete hand-written transcription of session ailot0119 is provided as a scanned pdf of the researcher's field notebook as well as a text file containing the typed version of this transcription. The audio recordings in ailoa0120-1.wav through ailoa0120-4.wav is of discussions between Grant and Dik during the translation and transcription of the narrative, while file ailoa0120-5.wav is a discussion with the speaker of the story, Joe, on the pronunciation of words and phrases in the text. | ||
