| Description: | Having eaten their snack, the elders in the Sinchon Eastern Elders' Centre usually nap, watch TV or engage in lively conversations. This is quite an ecclectic recording which starts off with GOH1 sitting on the sofa with YYU1 to help SUK1 make people talk. They talk about health problems, harvesting seaweed, farming, their experiences of going to Japan, and YYU1 tells stories of painful memories from her family. At some point, GDG1 sees the camera and being riveted, she sits down on the sofa and sings a Korean pop (Trot) song. YSH1 explains that Jeju music differs from the mainland. Some time after, GOH1 leaves the scenery, and SOS1 steps in, who modified a pair of trousers for YSH1. As SUK1 and SOS1 have never met before, they get to know each other a bit. | |
