Bibliographic Citation:Wora Ngangene, Danerek, H. Stefan, Danerek, H. Stefan, Danerek, H. Stefan; 2015-09-22; Wora Ngangene tells his huru, only named after him. The huru curse is made from 'hugu' wood and hung in a tree to protect the plantation. It is cut and done in a way following the fingers. Symptoms are, accordingly, blisters/wounds on hands/arms. The cure, in its light state, is chewed areca betel (no extra plant as is common) and simple 'bhulu wa'o' prayer. If the wounds don't become better, and there is swelling, Wora will chew with only kemiri and curcumin – no areca betel – which is really unusual. To find out whose 'huru' it is (the cure) someone should do 'baga' (measuring with hands across arms) before. Recorded with an AT Lavelier mic 22 Sept 2015 in the home of Bapak Pui, married to Wora's youngest sister Yuli, also present with Maria Methi, her daughter and my helper, later assistant.; digital wav file recorded at 48 khz/24 bit, eaf file II jpg; Kaipuleohone University of Hawai'i Digital Language Archive;http://hdl.handle.net/10125/47855.
