Title:SD1-225
Bibliographic Citation:Pui, Danerek, H. Stefan, Danerek, H. Stefan, Danerek, H. Stefan, Ratu, Hilarius; 2015-06-20; Genre: Medicine/huru. Bapak Pui described no less than eleven huru, of his arsenal, on the same occasion. Perhaps that is why most of the narratives are short, apart from him being focused and knowledgable. This is 'huru hera wula' (huru sun mooon). Curse: build a "house", with 'ci'i' (longgrass) roof, put a machete on top and pierce the roof with a sharpened piece of wood. Cut the coconut tree (that will be protected). Then hang the house on the tree. Symptom: quiet, like dead, fainted. Cure: just touch patient with machete, and he will wake up. No ‘bulu wao’, no areca betel, no plants in the cure (unless ‘dobho’ hers is also the name of a plant). Recorded in the afternoon 20 June -15, with the AT2020 mic, sitting in the main, front room, my "studio". Present were his daughter and son, and wife, outside on the bamboo plattform. Other listeners, neighbour kids, passed by as usual, peeking in by the window or doors. Present at the recording were: his daughter and son, a nephew, and wife, outside on the bamboo plattform. Other listeners, neighbourhood kids, passed by as usually, peeking in by the window or doors.; digital wav file recorded at 48 khz/24 bit, eaf file; Kaipuleohone University of Hawai'i Digital Language Archive;http://hdl.handle.net/10125/47799.
