Bibliographic Citation:Kula Warene, Danerek, H. Stefan, Danerek, H. Stefan, Danerek, H. Stefan, Ratu, Hilarius; 2015-10-06; Genre: Medicine/huru. I came to Bapak Pui's house unannounced in the afternoon 6 Oct 2015 to check something, and found that a woman, (grandmother) Kula, was treating Santi's Timorese husband Primus, who suffered 'huru kothe', bad stomach symptom, not diarrhea, but vomiting. Kula does not 'huru', ie. curse the crops in the plantation, this illness; it is just wind, a symptom caused by anything. The cure uses only betel, lime and buffalo horn, as the only extra ingredient. Patients pay 'peju' with small money. Kula utters a short 'bhulu wa'o' and blows the chewed mixture five times and repeats the treatment up to five times too. She was just about done when I arrived, and I recorded her straight away with the AT Lavelier mic. With Yuli, Methi, aunt Ngole, Santi and her child Vincent.; digital wav file recorded at 48 khz/24 bit, eaf file, photo jpeg file; Kaipuleohone University of Hawai'i Digital Language Archive;http://hdl.handle.net/10125/47746.
