Bibliographic Citation:Anastasia Roja, Sophune, Pidhu (Ebbe), Danerek, H. Stefan, Danerek, H. Stefan; 2015-10-21; Genre: Medicine/huru. Anastasia Roja, kampong Wolo ndopho, Edo (Hedho) domain explains about her 'huru nggono'. Recorded by Ebbe (Pidu) using the AT Lavelier mic (high volume, keep it low). The symptom is usually severe coughing and weakness (she doesn't mention that). I assume that it is also a 'huru' hung in the plantation, like the others, among jambu, coconut and such. The cure uses a thorn from 'bathu' tree, 'nggono' "feet" (the stem or roots?), 'boi nuane', 'wetho wa'i', which is chewed with the usual areca nut and piper betel (with lime) (sirih pinang) and lime. The mixture is applied on the chest, I assume (?). From 26 s the recording is of the 'bhulu wa'o', the adat prayer that helps to expel the disease ('huru'). Roja was recorded the first time by Pidu Sophune (Ebbe) 13 Oct 2015. Sopu Ngajone's 'huru nggono' uses different ingredients. See portrait, pictures from 19 March -16.; digital wav file recorded at 44,1 khz/16 bit, eaf file; Kaipuleohone University of Hawai'i Digital Language Archive;http://hdl.handle.net/10125/47718.
