Cat fools the monkey to bait with his genitals, which get clammed by the sea clam. Angered, Monkey expels Cat with hos family, who chose to go to Palu’e Island. The story explains why there are no monkeys on Palu’e (an unusual fact), and why there are cats, although only a few because the Palu’e prefer to keep dogs. Lio is the name of the nearest land region (the land of the Lio) on Flores.
