| Description: | Recordings by Trobes Stringband and David Bridie's fieldwork in 1998 at Orabesi or Idaleka villages, Kiriwina Island of the Trobriand Islands group in Milne Bay Province, Papua New Guinea. The language used in Kilivila (kij). They are connected with WM2-010a on sessions to the production of 'A Savage Land' documentary. The community of performers in the villages are of Trobriand style and repertoire of stringbands well known in the music life of Kiriwina Island with original compositions and traditional songs.
