Description: | 02. Penileman I Gusti Ketut Gede / 1. NGANGGET DON BINGIN CEREMONIES Penileman is a ceremony to purify spirit of the deceased which held after cremation. For Balinese Hindu, respect and grief over the death of someone realized by the effort to free the spirit (atma) of its physical bonds and earthly ties, at the same time increasing its sanctity in order to have a better place in the afterlife. Literally means to pick Banyan tree leaves (kalpataru/kalpavriksa) for puspasarira (symbol for spirit's body). Language as given: Bali | |
