Paddy suddenly remembered another one half way through the recording. Thomas seemed to know these well too when he remembered them. The place for these songs is around Napperby. In the ceremony men dance at the eastern side of the ground. A group of men who are singing sit to their western side facing towards the east and a group of women who also sing at various points sit behind them facing towards the east as well. Paddy explained that there were different purlapa from each camp around Yuendumu. This one is his. There has not been an opportunity to hold purlapa since the 1950s and 1960s except for different contexts such as the ‘Country visits’ that the school have for the kids..
