Description:		The OPA Corpus is a digital resource produced by the conversion to TEI XML of the digital archive "Gli Anni della Cupola". The conversion project is aimed at long-term preservation and enhancement of the data. In fact, the input consists of the transcription of administrative sources, dating from 1417 to 1436, preserved at the Opera di Santa Maria del Fiore in Florence and related to the construction of Brunelleschi's Dome. The contents are indeed of multidisciplinary interest, not only for the historical and artistic information contained therein, but also for the peculiarities concerning the language in which the original acts were written: one of the oldest and most authentic attestations of the Florentine vulgar. The conversion project involved all the digital materials, both the original contents of the paper acts and the critical/descriptive apparatus that accompanies them and which, according to the transcribers' wishes, offers support for understanding and studying the contents. The data deposited concern: 1) the digital version of the archives has the primary objective of their safeguard and preservation. It is in fact borrowed from the first online representation of the data promoted by L'Opera and the Max-Planck Institut for the History of Science in Berlin; 2) the Corpus TEI version which by realizing a single resource (through the use of the Xinclude mechanism) is intended for reuse and interoperability with similar resources..
